Explosive Colour – monotype
A weekend of explosive colour fun in monotype. Just three colours, magenta, cyan and yellow will create prints that are a riot of zingy colour. We’ll try different ways of using them to explore the possibilities. For example if we work with masks, when these colours overlap they create new ones. When we work with inks that have different viscocities we get wild effects. What happens when we do both together? That’s for you to find out!
Health and Safety
Planning your image for using masks.
Draw up a simple A4 size image coloured in with the 3 colours to create 7 – orange, green, purple and ‘black’ (all three colours overlapping each other)
This plan will help you to decide how to cut out your masks to achieve a 7 colour print.
You will then proceed to cut out your masks and get them ready for printing.
