Towards Lindisfarne - (141)

Towards Lindisfarne captures the view from the shoreline looking across to Holy Island where Lindisfarne Castle stands on a hill looking out to sea. It was built in the 16th century and is an iconic landmark on the Northumberland coast. Towards Lindisfarne was created from a collagraph plate using PVA glue, carborundum, paint and string to create the textured surface to which the ink is applied using brushes and rags.
