Mini Prints of Iconic Northumberland

My Northumberland landscape mini pint collection is based on Hadrian’s Wall, the castles and the coastline that sit on the Whin Sill – a geological feature that stretches from The Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland across the North of England and out to the Farne Islands.

The Romans used this geological feature as a natural barrier on which to build Hadrian’s Wall to mark the furthest reach of the Roman Empire. In subsequent centuries, various kings of England built their castles along the Whin Sill and on the coastline to protect them from invaders.
