A piece of wall art - an original collagraph print - with a lovely vintage feel to add coastal style to your home interior. The third print in a small variable edition of twenty prints, featuring arctic terns and St. Mary’s Lighthouse.

‘This print was the result of an initial request to complete a commission, something I find challenging to do. I take on such requests if I feel inspired to do so. In this case the image took a few months to develop in my mind before I embarked on it.

It is a two plate print with two layers of monotype background colours before the final collagraph over print. Working out how to register the colours was initially a challenge.

I have experimented with many different ways of printing this plate over several years. Each time the print is completely different from the last depending on the colour palette I have decided to use and as my technical knowledge of inking techniques as grown and changed.’
