INSPIRATION

This landscape art print is inspired by one of the many ancient neolithic sites in the Northumberland National Park like Yeavering Bell and Lorden Shaw. I used to live on the edge of the National Park and walked in the hills there. There are just the remnants, bumps in the landscape, ditches, rock carvings, standing stones that may once have been connected with the summer and winter solstices. I’m inspired by the myths and legends of these pre-historic sites and discovering new ones on the Isle of Bute where I now live.
