Customer Reviews

  • 5-star rating

“I bought a print of Carol’s at Cambridge Contemporary Art Gallery … it was beautiful! I have just bought a second companion piece.

Both Carol and Chris were fantastic, responding very quickly and ensuring it arrived in time for a special event planned. Would highly recommend both the prints themselves and the very good customer service.”

“I ordered two open editions prints from Carol’s website. They arrived promptly and were as beautiful as on the screen. Belatedly, I contacted Carol to have them framed. I was particulalry impressed when a few days later they were delivered by hand to my address, in beautiful oak frames.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the quality of Carol’s work, and the impressive service I got.”

“I came to Carol’s work both through a recommendation and an exhibition at The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre. Her work and her prints are beautiful. I am delighted now to be the proud owner of a variable limited edition print that I live!”

  • Printmaking reflects my identity. I use colour and bold marks with monotype and collagraph techniques, fascinated by the unpredictable surprises the process brings.

Born in Ireland with roots extending to Zambia, Carol's artistic journey led from visual communications training in Dublin, through graphic design in South Africa, to establishing her printmaking practice in Northumberland's medieval market town of Hexham. Seven years ago, she and her husband fulfilled their dream of moving to Scotland, where Carol now works from her garden studio in Rothesay, overlooking the ever-changing views of Rothesay Bay.

Drawing inspiration from both the untamed beauty of Northumbria's landscapes and the dramatic Scottish West Coast, Carol's work captures the rich wildlife of moors and shorelines alongside historic gems near Hadrian's Wall. Her prints bring individuality to homes across the UK and internationally.

Beyond creating her own work, Carol offers bespoke printmaking workshops from her Isle of Bute studio - perfect for individuals, friends and family groups, or artists seeking fresh creative perspectives in this inspiring island setting. Whether you're looking for a creative holiday, artistic development, or simply want to experience the transformative magic of printmaking, visitors are always welcome.
