Printmaking From The Edge of Scotland

Fine art prints inspired by Scotland's wild west coast and Northumberland's ancient landscapes — made in my garden studio on the Isle of Bute.

Something happens when colour and landscape collide unexpectedly. The blues aren't quite the blues you'd expect. The light does something it shouldn't. That's what I'm chasing in the studio every day — and what collectors tell me stops them in their tracks.

Each print begins in the landscape itself — in the shifting light over the Firth of Clyde, the ancient hills of Northumberland, the wild plants most people walk straight past. Back in the studio, that experience is transformed through collagraph and monotype into original hand-pulled prints, rich with colour, texture and atmosphere. No two are identical. Each one is as individual as a painting — without the painting price tag.

Browse the collections — or come and find your piece of the wild in person.

Carol’s work is just exquisite and unique.
