INSPIRATION

Nesting Colony' is one of a series of colourful semi-abstract monotype prints created by Irish artist Carol Nunan on which this greeting card image is based. Carol Nunan lives and works from her studio in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. The inspiration for this particular print comes from the nesting colonies of gannets found on the cliffs of St. Kilda in the Outer Hebrides and offshore from her home on the isle of Bute.
