Inspired by the Isle of Barra Magic

This monotype print was born from a summer cycling adventure on the Isle of Barra, nestled in the Outer Hebrides. Exploring the island by e-bike, we stumbled upon a whitewashed village church in Craigston, nestled beneath the impressive Dun Bharpa chambered cairn on the west coast of Barra.

The island's westerly beaches boast a wild beauty, with the Atlantic Ocean rolling in, creating a dramatic play of light and colour on the water and the landscape. This breathtaking day out, and the tranquility of the village church where we pulled in for a picnic and a breather, served as the inspiration for this unique monotype print.
