Walking The Sill I | Landscape Art Print - Northumberland
Walking The Sill I | Landscape Art Print - Northumberland
INSPIRATION
Living on the Isle of Bute has deepened my appreciation for its unique landscape features, similar to the Whin Sill in Northumberland. The rugged coastlines and sweeping vistas inspire my work. My passion for nature leads me to explore not just the land, but also its wildlife. The transition from Northumberland's rich environment to the beauty of the Scottish west coast has influenced my printmaking. The curlew symbolizes my connection to these places, bridging memory and inspiration.
In this print, I’ve incorporated native plants and textures that reflect the curlew’s habitat. My goal is to capture these landscapes' essence and the resonance the curlew evokes in me, encouraging others to appreciate and protect our precious wildlife. Each piece invites viewers to look closer and discover the stories these landscapes share.
