Woodland Undergrowth IV - Capturing the Essence of the Scottish West Coast and Northumbrian Woodland
As a printmaker, Carol is captivated by the ever-changing landscapes and seascapes of the Scottish west coast and Northumbria. Her work is a reflection of the archaeological environment, wildlife, nature and colour, pattern and texture that define these two regions.
Having recently relocated from Northumberland to the Isle of Bute, Carol is now immersed in the rugged beauty that surrounds her. The interplay of land and sea, the vibrant hues of the coastline, and the rhythmic patterns of nature all serve as inspiration for her contemporary landscape and seascape prints.
Through her art, she aims to share the essence of nature as she finds it. Her prints capture the intricate beauty of nature in these two regions, inviting the viewer to experience the same sense of wonder and connection that she feels. Whether it's the weathered textures of ancient stone,r the fleeting dance of light on the water, or the delicate detail of the plants, Carol's work celebrates the ever-evolving story of these captivating environments.
