Tailored Creative Holidays

Are you looking for a unique creative experience that blends a deep dive into printmaking with the landscape of the West Coast of Scotland?

I run a series of printmaking courses from May to September on the Isle of Bute OR…

… alternatively, why not arrange some bespoke tuition for a time and duration that suits you.

I enjoyed Carol’s tuition immensely - loads of ideas, great, very clear tuition...and still room to experiment!

Creative Holiday with Tailored Printmaking Tuition

Join me on the beautiful Isle of Bute for a tailored printmaking holiday, perfect for solo travelers or friends. Regardless of your experience, I provide bespoke tuition to enhance your artistic skills in a fun, relaxing, and supportive setting.

Choose a weekend retreat or a longer stay to immerse yourself in the printmaking medium of your choice whilst making the most of what the island's landscapes offer. Start with a guided tour, or advice on where to go to find the best sketching and photography spots, to capture what make Bute unique. Explore by car if you have one, on foot, or by bike, with bike rentals available for eco-friendly adventures. Come away with prints that make you smile that remind you of your time here on the Isle of Bute.

Personalised tuition is tailored to your experience whether you are a creative novice, an artist who normally works in other media, an intermediate or experienced printmaker wishing to master new techniques in order to extend your knowledge of a particular printmaking medium.

If you’re an experienced printmaker who doesn’t necessarily want or need tuition you can book the studio for an artist residency.

Residencies outside the summer season

A residency outside of the summer months is not out of the question. However, in the winter months we are more susceptible to the vagaries of stormy weather. Ferry departures from Wemyss Bay can either be suspended at short notice, or depart from Gourock depending on wind direction, or it might be an option to divert toward Dunoon and catch the Colintraive/Rhubadoch ferry at the north end of the island. You need to build in flexibility to your plans with me and your accommodation provider.
