Guardians of The Land | Landscape Art Print
Guardians of The Land | Landscape Art Print
INSPIRATION
"Guardians of The Land" is my attempt to capture the historical and peaceful atmosphere of the Blackpark standing stones that overlook the southern end of Kilchattan Bay on the Isle of Bute. I tried to capture the tranquillity of dawn in this landscape monotype print, illuminating the stones with warm light and revealing the subtle hues and textures of the landscape. Known locally as the knife, fork, and spoon, these ancient stones are a reminder of our ancestors who inhabited the land and their stories. Available framed or unframed, you can see "Guardians of The Land" at the Festival of Printmaking in Stirling, August 2024.
