INSPIRATION

"The Sleeping Warrior" is a contemporary monotype/collagraph print capturing the Scottish west coast. It combines pebble-shaped masks with a collagraph plate reflecting Arran's iconic profile, resembling a sleeping warrior. This print is created using a colour palette and the textures and patterns ubiquitous to the west coast. "The Sleeping Warrior" will be on display at the Festival of Printmaking at Stirling University this August 2024, providing an opportunity to engage with the art community and explore the stories each piece tells.
